About A Room That Looks Like Me
A Room That Looks Like Me is a programme which offers training, personal and professional development, mentoring and growth for underrepresented creatives working and established in creative industries.
The primary aim of this project is to enhance the accessibility and visibility of Black Female creative talent within the TV and Film Sector across the Liverpool City Region.
The long term aim is to shift the dial and raise profiles of a pool of talent and resources from the North of England, building a strong accessibility and inclusivity to the creative sector. ARTLLM launched in 2024 with its first cohort of 20 women supporting participants through a year of growth, community, helping to shape personal and professional development.
ARTLLM is inclusive, celebratory and authentic by design, this programme supports participants to build confidence, strengthen craft and expand professional networks. Strong relationships with the wider sector are essential, yet regional location can create barriers to fully segue into industry opportunities, resulting in a lack of career opportunities and career progression. This programme helps tackle and strengthen the approach with a pathway to the industry and supporting long-term sustainability in the region.
Our Mission
To elevate Global Majority creatives across the Liverpool City Region through mentorship, practical skills development and meaningful industry access.
